For my final Design Practice 2 project of the year, I was tasked with designing a piezoelectric gas lighter. This project formed part of the PISA Student Design Competition 2017 and hence the main components should be designed as a complex injection moulding assembly. Considering the range of separate electronic components you need to house, this is therefore an exercise in housing dissimilar materials into a cohesive whole that results in a practical and user friendly gas lighter. My chosen Kitchenware/cooking related brand was Morphy Richards.
